Make sure you have cover in case of rain. When you're out in the woods, a rainstorm can be wet, cold and uncomfortable. Make sure you have some kind of protection against the rain, whether it be a tent, cabin or lean-to. In a pinch, you can use a garbage bag as a poncho!

Don't forget to include special pillows made just for camping on your adventure. Regular bed pillows will feel hot and sticky during humid weather. Because they absorb moisture from the air, they can quickly mildew. Pillows designed for camping offer a coating that prevents moisture absorption.

Before going to a new place to go camping, you need to know what dangers may be lurking. There may be spiders or bears near you that could pose a threat. Each camping spot is unique and can be dangerous in its own way.
